Hello world'; ?>
Venice Florida! dot com Privacy Policy This site does not employ cookies. As such, the amount of information gathered about users is very limited. This site does not employ any pop-up advertising. If you receive pop-ups while visiting this site, it is the result of virus, trojan or spyware infection on your computer. Routine information such as your IP number, country of origin, etc. is gathered automatically by our server logs. This type of data is gathered by most web sites so there is nothing uncommon or unusual in this practice. The information is then automatically compiled into data of all users and is used for statistical purposes only. This information is purged and discarded from the servers once a week. There is nothing in place on our servers that could readily identify any individual reader and tie him/her together with information about the computer that they are using. Some of our advertisers employ tracking cookies within their ads. These cookies are triggered only when a reader clicks on those ads that employ the cookies. This information is used by advertisers to track traffic into their web sites and to determine the place of origin of that traffic (i.e. -- what web site the ad was placed on, meaning this one). Again, this is a common marketing practice, there is nothing unusual or invasive about the practice. By prior agreement with the advertiser, Venice Florida! dot com does not have access to this data -- it is maintained by the advertiser and/or their ad placement agency and is considered their proprietary information. If someone buys a product from one of our linked ads, we will never know who that person is or what they purchased. Venice Florida! dot com does not engage in any e-mail marketing with one exception -- we do send out occasional individual offers of advertising buys to e-mail addresses that are posted in ads on our message boards. We do not maintain or keep a list of such e-mail addresses. Such e-mails are sent out individually and manually (and actually, pretty rarely). E-mails sent to Venice Florida! dot com from private sources and individuals are generally considered confidential. Such info contained in e-mails will not be divulged to third parties without your prior consent with a couple of notable exceptions. For instance, e-mail from government e-mail accounts are considered public records, as such they may be published at our discretion. Any e-mail that is criminal in nature or that contains information on criminal activity may be turned over to lawful authorities at our discretion and may be disclosed to others in other ways. This is a bit of a tricky area, as Venice Florida! dot com has engaged in investigative journalism. As such, we have developed a network of informational sources, many of whom wish to remain anonymous. If we have established a relationship with an individual and have promised to keep that person's information confidential, then of course we will honor that agreement. |
