Considering that past history is the best indicator of future behavior it would seem to me that some judge or other legal official would do well to issue some kind of dictum to protect that server from the same fate of the one Hunt dumped into the abyss. Personally, I am sick of this lawsuit, have always questioned the motives (and possible other people) behind it, and wish someone would just open the darn thing up, scrape it clean, provide any relevant information to the people who deserve to know what's going on....namely the taxpayers and residents of the city, and then move on. I am not offering excuses for violating any laws, if such has indeed been the case, but it is patently ridiculous to hold current Venice council members to standards that not one other government body in the state adheres to in any meaningful way. It's arbitrary and capricious to an unbelievable degree. Either hold everyone to the same standard (we don't have enough courts, lawyers and judges to do this) or admit it's just for looks so we taxpayers can feel like we're getting the whole story when we really never are.
