I'm amazed that the statement they send you doesn't have a provision for: no. of payments being sent in per this check (my statement provides a box to fill in with however many payments you are making at the time, one, two, three, etc); separate line provides for any additional amount being sent in and provides spaces for "additional escrow" or "additional principal". My mortgage holder is Wells Fargo and I almost always send in addl principal and it is always applied correctly. This sounds like something you need to refer to whatever Federal oversight group deals with those in the home mortgage loan business. Take your documentation to the media (either papers or like "8 on your side", etc) and get some publicity and you will be more likely to get some attention and help.
