Well, your point is most valid. However, be careful when saying 'your' tax dollars pay for it. It might well be yours and mine paying for it, but there are some who have only taken our tax dollars for years and years, and then believe that they are paying 'their' taxes, when in actuality there are just performing a pass-through motion of the tax dollars that they had already gotten from you and I. But it does pacify them, because they still believe they are contributing, and they also still get to handle our money.
