Just to set the record straight, I am not now, nor have I ever been fat; I have health care; I have a very healthy savings account, IRA, Annuity, etc. I think health care should be available for everyone. In this instance I do not think a few years of service on city council should entitle councilmembers to a lifetime benefit at the expense of the taxpayers, most of whom are losing their health care benefits at an alarming rate. It was and is an ill advised plan that could potentially be a real financial time bomb for the city.
